Walk the Talk

Walk the Talk

“Take your chosen of the congregation of your church, and make manifest whereof ye preach.” (Book of Judgement 18:3)

The 18th chapter of the Book of Judgement is certainly an indictment against nominal Christianity and its leaders who can not seem to swindle enough money from their followers. Many preachers TALK about charity but do not DO charity. Their religious attire is often very expensive. That money could have helped purchase several meals for the poor and homeless. I am thinking too of the false teachings known as “Prosperity Gospel” and “Name It Claim It.”

Wise King Solomon said:

A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
And loving favour rather than silver and gold.
The rich and the poor meet together:
Jehovih is the maker of them all.
A prudent man seeth the evil, and hideth himself;
But the simple pass on, and suffer for it.
The reward of humility and the fear of Jehovih
Is riches, and honour, and life. (Proverbs 22:1-4)
