The Oahspe Shines On

Last year I had the opportunity to travel throughout various reservations in the United States, visiting households of relatives, friends and strangers to share, in a non-intrusive way, the sacred text of the Oahspe. One special lady I met in California was Enola. She expressed how she had lived a very difficult life and that she had been searching for a way to be closer to Creator. I share her story below.

Enola is a quiet soul, one who walks the earth softly, like the gentle deer in the forest. She lives in California, where the sun kissed the hills and the ocean sings its endless song. For many years, she searched for the path that would bring her closer to the Great Spirit, whom we call Creator. For many years, she listened to the winds, she watched the stars, but her heart still longed for something deeper.

One day, a book came into her hands, carried to her by the strange currents of life. It was called Oahspe, the words of Creator given to mankind. At first, Enola was hesitant. The words were unlike anything she had heard before, but something stirred in her soul as she read. She said, “I felt the ancient truths in the pages, truths that spoke of light, harmony, and the great plan of the heavens. Through Oahspe, I learned the way of service, the way of selflessness. I began to see that my life was not just my own, but part of a great circle, a bigger family made by Creator. The book spoke of angels, of spirit realms, and the eternal journey of the soul. These words awakened my spirit, like rain falling on dry earth. I saw that Creator’s voice was not distant but close, in the whisper of the wind, in the laughter of children, and in finally in my own heart.”

Enola said she began to live differently. She started to share what she had, to help those in need, to be a light for others. She said, “The teachings of Oahspe give me strength to face my struggles, to walk with faith even when the path is hard. I pray more deeply and I try to offer my life as a prayer to the Great Spirit.”

Enola expressed how she felt a peace she had never known before. She said, “It was like standing on a mountain, where you can see all things clearly. I no longer fear death, because I now know it is just a doorway, and beyond it, Creator’s light awaits. The teachings of Oahspe have now become my guide, really my companion on the journey. The sacred book teaches me that we are never alone, that the spirits of light walk with us always.”

Enola’s life has become a testimony to the power of Creator’s love, flowing through the words of Oahspe. She tells her story to her family members, hoping they too will find their way to the light. “My great grandchildren, my little treasures,” she said, “are now listening to the words of the Oahspe and learning many things.”

“The path to the Great Spirit is open for those who seek it with a true heart. The wisdom of Oahspe shines on like the stars that guide travelers in the night.”

May the Great Spirit bless you,
