Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths and Weaknesses

Faithists believe in equality for both men and women. If the Oahspe Bible teaches us anything, it is that men and woman are on equal ground, but each one is created with varying strengths and weaknesses. Nevertheless, each person is still equal.

We read in the Book of Jehovih’s Kingdom (Book of Shalam) that enemies of Faithists will press us about our faith concerning equality. They will say that some people can “do more work”, some are stronger, and some are wiser; and thus they will ask: “how do you grade them”?

“To these ye shall reply, saying: All men are Jehovih’s. He designed the strong ones to carry heavier burdens than the weak; He designed the wise ones to teach the less wise. Why, then, shall we give any preference to one over another? They are not ours, but Jehovih’s. Sufficient is it for us to do our own parts, with all our wisdom and strength.” (See Shalam 22:13-14)

Just as it is not our place to be keepers of people outside of our faith, with the exception of charitable work and teaching those who wish to hear, it is not our place to give preference to someone because of their gender. Each Faithist is unique, with varying talents and strengths. The work assigned to them, or their calling in the temple of Jehovih, is based on what they are able and willing to do in His service. In this way, we can not be accused of seeking honors. We respect the diversity among our brothers and sisters and celebrate their accomplishments, both big and small.

Every citizen in Jehovih’s Kingdom on earth, even in this stage of our existence, have our assigned places, regardless of our gender or social status in the world. By working together we are like pieces of a puzzle, that when completed, it presents a wonderful, amazing work of art.

May each of us strive to do our best in Jehovih’s service with the talents with which we have been given by our Creator.
